I like to think about this concept of measuring the chronology of our life in epiphanies instead of years. Imagine asking someone ''how epiphany-led are you?'' or ''how epiphany living are you?'' - instead of ''how old are you?''. Yes, it may sound silly, but if you think for a while, you'll realize how beautiful would it be to have such a measure.
Epiphanies are those moments of profound realization that shake and overwhelm us; Those moments when emotions and senses awaken profoundly, and when you feel a mixture of millions of thousands of unexplained feelings.
Like when you're dancing barefoot on the kitchen, and you realize how much you love to make chocolate cakes; Like when you're laying by the beach, and you realize how amazing is to feel the texture of sand on your hands; All those moments of deep awareness that you are 100% there. Not in the past or in the future, but there, feeling the moment. It's when you realize that certain things are deeply important to you; that you'd do anything to have that feeling all the time; that you'd do anything for the whole world to feel it too.
So, yes, I really love this concept of measuring the chronology of our life in epiphanies instead of years, because epiphanies are a measure of the hugeness of the soul. Of consciousness, feeling, realization, emotion; and for me, that is the true essence of being alive.
